Resthaven Millicent Community Services support eligible older people who live in the south east, including local government areas of Kingston, Naracoorte and Lucindale, Robe, Tatiara, Grant, Mount Gambier and Wattle Range. Support is provided by trained Resthaven home support workers and may include help with household tasks, home maintenance, shopping, social activities, keeping healthy, personal care and nursing care. Support ranges from one hour a week for people with lower care needs to more complex planned and coordinated packages of care for people with high support needs. Practical support assists older people and their carers to: Stay living at home Stay independent and in charge of their own life Keep in touch with family, friends and the community Keep leading a healthy and fulfilling life Keep contributing to the community. Individually tailored services are based on need, and are provided in the home or at community-based venues. Respite for carers is also available, including in home respite support, small group respite, extended day respite and overnight respite at Naracoorte.
